1 can of pizza sauce (14 oz.)
1 1/2 cups of mozzarella cheese (shredded)
1/2 cup of parmesan cheese

1 loaf of Italian bread
1/2 tsp. of Italian Seasoning
1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup of parmesan cheese

You may also want to add your favorite pizza toppings!  Try adding pepperoni or olives before putting the mozzarella cheese on top.

To make bread:
Slice French bread on a diagonal so the slices are approximately 1/2 inch thick.  In a small bowl, combine oil, seasoning, and cheese.  Brush one side of each bead slice with the oil mixture and place on a baking sheet, basted side up.  Bake in the oven at 350 for 5-8 minutes, until golden brown.

Cheesy Chili Dip

A game time favorite, especially during the cold weather months!

Ingredients:
1 lb. of ground beef
1/4 cup of softened cream cheese
16 oz. of Velveeta cheese (cubed into 1 inch pieces)
1 c. of salsa
pinch of salt
pinch of pepper

First, turn the crock pot on low.  Next, brown the ground beef in a skillet.  While browning the beef, season with salt and pepper.

Drain the beef so there is no oil in the pan.  In the crock pot, add the cubed Velveeta, cream cheese,  and salsa.  Add the ground beef to the crock pot.  Stir every few minutes until the mixture is smooth.  Once the ingredients are mixed and the cheese has melted, you can turn your crock pot down to its lowest setting.

Use a crock pot liner for easy clean up.  This dip goes well with tortilla or corn chips.

Recipes

When entertaining during a sporting event, whether it's indoors in the comfort of your living room, or in the parking lot of a sports arena, there is one important thing to remember.  This is not the time or place to try and hold a conversation with any "real world" meaning.  Please do not try to lure your man over to watch the game with any intent on discussing the path of your relationship, politics, the energy crisis, or anything other than the game for that matter.  TRUST ME, it will not go well.

Food follows the same basic rule.  Your meals/snacks should be tasty of course, but more importantly, easy to serve and eat.  What a tragedy it would be for a big play to happen during the game and you and your guests are trying to cut your herb-crusted pork loin with a fork and knife.

On this page we hope you will find a recipe or two that you can make for the game.  After all, you are going to need to keep your energy up with all the cheering you will be doing!
